Requirement 1: Vertical vanishing point
I took a photo of the old stair railing going up in the house I am working on. The rail leads your eyes into the sun where the line vanishes and leaves you with a new subject.
Requirement 2: No vertical vanishing point
I took a photo of the other staircase in the house that is stuffed into a rather confined space. I chose to frame the top of the stairs out of the picture and leave no vanishing point visible.
Requirement 3: Frame your shot
For this shot, I tried to find a doorway in the house that did not have a cluttered room full of tools and equipment on the other side of it. This room upstairs shows the odd contrast this house has between what is new material and the old and original historic pieces of the house.
Requirement 4: Repeating patterns.
For the repeating patterns, I would have liked to take a picture of some of the old and rotted wallpaper that was torn down, but I found that the banisters on the staircase were very unique and had a sense of pattern to them all.
Requirement 5: Interior Panorama
For the interior panorama I took pictures of the room that is up in the attic as I thought that the various windows and different sources of light gave the picture a lot to show off. It was perfect for such a wide aspect ratio since it would have been very difficult to fit all four windows into the same 16:9 frame.
